The Certificate III in Aged Care (CHC30208) provides trainees with a practical approach to caring for the older people within the community. This course equips trainees with the skills to provide physical and social support to elderly individuals and people with psychological disabilities throughout the aged care industry. The course is based on the National Community Services/Aged Care competency standards and reflects nationally endorsed industry requirements.

On successful completion of this course, students are awarded the Certificate III in Aged Care.
Students may be able to shorten the length of their chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation are recognised by Cambridge International College.

Assessment methods include written assignments and/or tests, and practical assessments. More information will be given to the student in the first week of their course.
On successful completion of the Certificate III in Aged Care the trainee will have gained the skills and knowledge to work in various entry level positions in the aged care industry.
The Certificate III in Aged Care is delivered over two, 9 week terms followed by four weeks of industry work placement. There is a two week course break between each of the 9 week terms.
The study mode is full-time and consists of 20 hours of study per week. Trainees have the option to study in a daytime or evening schedule subject to availability.
