The Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (AUR30405) provides trainees with practical knowledge of workshop practices and procedures, specific to the Automotive Industry. Trainees will learn how to service, repair and diagnose faults in motor vehicles weighing up to 4.5 tonnes including light vehicle engines, transmission, suspensions, steering, brakes, electrical systems and other components.

On successful completion of this course, students are eligible to receive a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology.
Students may be able to shorten the length of their chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation may be recognised by Cambridge International College.

Graduates of the Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology will have gained the skills and knowledge to work as a light vehicle motor mechanic in the Automotive Industry.
Graduates of the Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology can complement their practical knowledge by completing the Diploma of Management at Cambridge International College.
The Certificate III of Automotive Mechanical Technology is delivered over five, 9 weeks terms, with a 1 week break between each term.
In Adelaide the study mode is full time and consists of 20 hours per week. In Melbourne the study mode is also full time and consists of 16 contact hours and 4 hours of off-campus learning activities per week. Trainees have the option to study in a daytime or evening schedule subject to availability. Intakes in April, July, September and November include a compulsory summer term.
