Cambridge International College offers intensive classes to prepare students for the First Certificate in English (FCE) and Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) examinations. Students who are successful in the examinations receive an award from the University of Cambridge (UK) ESOL Examinations.
The courses focus on preparing students in the key areas of the exams: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Advanced Language Skills.
Students work from core texts - supplemented by additional resources including academic texts, magazines and newspaper articles. Teachers also use a range of authentic test papers and other materials relevant to the preparation of the Cambridge Exams.
Practice examination papers also form a key part of classes and are used regularly to assist students to develop their exam strategies and to familiarise them with format of the exams.
The Cambridge First Certificate in English is an award at Upper Intermediate level under the common European Framework of Reference. It is suitable for people who require evidence of their English language skills for work or study purposes. FCE certificate holders have the ability to deal with routine letters and telephone enquiries and to cope with non-academic training courses.
The Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English is an award at Advanced level under the common European Framework of Reference. It is suitable for people who require evidence of their English language skills for work or study purposes. The exam is based on realistic tasks, and indicates the ability to use the language in practical situations. CAE certificate holders have the ability to conduct meetings, give presentations and a proven communicators in a wide of social, academic and business contexts.

All students must undertake a CIC test prior to admission. Admission into the FCE or CAE program is conditional on the student obtaining a sufficient level of English during this assessment. Please contact the College or a College representative in your country.
Students who successfully complete one module of the Certificate IV in Spoken and Written English (FS) are eligible to enter directly into a variety of courses at Cambridge International College as well as its partner providers.
