We are pleased to announce that Arbutus College has officially joined Cambridge International College.
Founded in 2002, Arbutus College is a high quality Private Career College in British Columbia offering more than 40 certificate and diploma programs across a variety of disciplines including Business Management, Hotel Management, Marketing, International Trade and Translation & Interpretation. The college provides instruction to students from a wide range of countries including China, Japan, Korea, Latin America and the Middle East.
Arbutus is fully accredited with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA) and is one of a small number of private colleges in British Columbia that has achieved the Educational Quality Assurance designation (EQA). The EQA is an important sign of quality and serves as a signal to students, agents and immigration authorities that Arbutus is among the highest quality private colleges in Canada.
Recently, in an effort to achieve their stated target of a 50% increase in the number of international students in British Columbia by 2013, the provincial government sponsors a work-rights program for international students known as Post-Graduation Work Permit Pilot Program. This pilot program allows students that have completed a course of study that lasts 8 months or more to obtain an open work permit for a period of time equivalent to the length of their academic program (to a maximum of 3 years). Initially only available to public institutions, the government extended this to a limited number of colleges that had achieved the EQA designation. This permit benefits those students seeking an opportunity of employment upon completion of their programs of study.
In addition to the impressive suite of accreditations and its EQA designation, Arbutus maintains a number of University Transfer and Articulation arrangements with Canadian and American universities and the hospitality-focussed IMI University Centre in Luzern, Switzerland.
Cambridge International College was founded in 1995.
CIC is one of Australia’s largest and most successful private colleges offering a wide range of English, vocational and degree programs. The Business (Accounting) degree is recognised by the peak accounting bodies in Australia; CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). Approved by the national and state government’s regulatory bodies, CIC is an active member of the private college association, ACPET.

CWA Birmingham offers international students English language, vocational and higher education programs. A new college with enrolments commencing on early 2011, CWA is located in the downtown area of Birmingham within easy distance of the main attractions of the UK’s second oldest city.
In Vancouver, CWA is a successful and highly respected English language college and is a member in good standing of Languages Canada, the country’s premier language organisation. Membership is limited to membership programs, both public and private, which meet the rigorous standards of the association and who are committed to upholding them. The Languages Canada quality assurance scheme has been recognized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, the Council of Ministers of Education of Canada, the Department of Canadian Heritage, the Ministry of Advanced Education in British Columbia as well as by the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.
By joining with Cambridge International College Arbutus College has strengthened its position as one of the leading Private Career Colleges of British Columbia and continues its commitment to offer its students the best options to achieve their career goals.
